1. When will the group coaching calls take place?

Group coaching calls will take place for 12 weeks, starting the week of March 1. There will be three group coaching calls — you can choose which you’d like to join:

  • Tuesdays at 11 am PST / 2 pm EST

  • Tuesdays at 4 pm PST / 7 pm EST

  • Wednesdays at 6 pm PST / 9 pm EST

The group coaching calls last 75-90 minutes.

(In a different time zone? I recommend this site!)

2. When will my 1:1 coaching calls take place? How long are they?

I can’t wait to meet with you 1:1! I suggest scheduling them after the 12 weeks of group coaching, so we can see what challenges remain after you’ve deeply engaged with the core curriculum. But if you feel you need 1:1 support sooner, that’s fine! Just reach out + we’ll get something scheduled.

1:1 coaching calls are 50 minutes long, and will take place over Zoom. I have availability between 11 am and 6 pm on weekdays, PST.

3. I’ve tried a lot of things before. Will the Dessert Club Mastermind work for me?

I can only tell you what past participants have told me:

I’ve had participants who have done years of personal work — including extensive therapy, journaling, reading, working with leaders in the fields of “Intuitive Eating,” and even inpatient or outpatient treatment…who still told me: I’m acting differently around food. I’ve noticed genuinely new things about myself. Most people aren’t pointing out things you are pointing out in the Dessert Club.

With that being said, it’s also true that just signing up won’t “fix” things for you. The degree of your results will be directly related to the degree of your deep engagement with the program.

And, of course: the goal isn’t to be “perfect” with our eating — the goal is to engage authentically with our eating — listening to ourselves much more deeply, and taking intentional action more often.

4. Who tends to be a good fit for the Dessert Club?

This is a great question! Over time, I’ve found that there are three characteristics:

  • You’re willing to go deep + examine your whole life. The approach we’ll take in the Dessert Club is integral and whole-person focused. This can be different than how many of us are used to engaging with food.

  • You have some time and emotional energy.
The most common feedback I get from Dessert Club participants is: “I never realized I had so many feeelings!” So it’s good to make sure you have some time + emotional energy.

  • You’re willing to let go of a focus on weight, at least for the duration of the program.
    More on that, below.

5. Will I lose weight in the Dessert Club?

Many people who join the Dessert Club are concerned about their weight — whether or not they’d admit it out loud. Some folks would like to lose weight. Others really, really don’t want to do anything that might risk weight gain. And yet, worrying a lot about our weight tends to make our eating…wacky.

Actually, “wacky” is a friendly understatement. More accurate words might be: unhappy, frantic, stressful, or disordered.

In the Dessert Club, we will not be focused on weight loss. Mostly, this is because if you are focused on weight loss, it is very hard to try new things with your eating.

Frankly, I have no idea what will happen to your weight as a result of making peace with food and your body. It might go up, down, or stay the same, and the result will depend on your current relationship with food (e.g., how often you are listening to your hunger signals, bingeing, etc.) and a lot of other factors (your past dieting history, your biology, age, etc.).

But this is not to say that I am not interested in you feeling healthy, well, and beautiful in your body. It’s just that I’m not convinced that trying to rigidly control one’s weight is the best path to any of those things. In fact, I haven’t found that rigidly trying to control one’s weight is even the best path to a stable and healthy weight — it wasn’t for me.

(And if you want to stop being fixated on being a certain weight, but don't know how to stop, that's okay too. You're welcome to join the group.)

6. Is there a one-size-fits-all-approach in the Dessert Club?

Put simply: no. My goal is to help you develop the skills to notice new and useful things about yourself, and to use that information to act on your own behalf more often.

But everyone is going to do that differently. We’ll notice different things, and what serves us will be different. This is not a new “diet” (e.g., a rigid set of rules) for you to be on. It’s an invitation of a new way-of-being with food — one that is more deeply aware, curious, kind, and empowered.

7. Is the Dessert Club therapy?
No. I am not a therapist — I’m a coach — and I am not qualified or licensed to provide therapy. However, you are welcome to join the Dessert Club in tandem to working with a therapist — I’ve had plenty of past Dessert Club members who’ve done that and been very satisfied with their experiences!

8. What if I change my mind, or can’t make the group?

All sales are final. But all of the group coaching calls will be recorded — so even if you can’t make a session, you’ll be able to watch a replay. (Replays will only be accessible to other members of this round of the Dessert Club Mastermind.)

Mastermind folks will have unlimited access to the Dessert Club self-paced when it launches. so you can complete that material whenever you chose.

9. I want to join the Dessert Club Self-Paced!

Awesome! I’d love to have you in the self-paced version of the Dessert Club. I decided to focus on just one launch at a time so I can give each my best attention.

I’ll be launching the self-paced version sometime after the Dessert Club Mastermind is up and running. Thanks for your patience!
